It's always an honour to receive recognition of our high standards and ambitious achievements. In the
Michelin Guide 2010, our
gourmet restaurant Wilder Ritter was awarded one of the coveted stars for very good restaurants.
Star chef Christian Baur, who has led the Ritter kitchen team since 2008, won the accolade through his creativity, ability and goal-orientated approach – thus continuing our
26-year star-studded tradition .
He likes his kitchen to be
modern and cosmopolitan, however, classic hand-crafted cooking still underscores his culinary creations. In Wilder Ritter, traditional dishes are given a new lease on life with surprising ingredients. Our guests agree: it's a
positively delicious concept!
Head of Catering & sommelier Ronny Weber and his
service team were also praised for their efforts. The Michelin Guide commented on their particularly attentive service: "Elegance and straightforward modern chic combine to create an impressive ambiance in which guests are expertly and courteously attended to." (Guide Michelin 2010)
Our
wine expertise has been praised by the Wine Spectator magazine, who honoured Ritter with their Award of Excellence, and by Der Feinschmecker, who ranked Ronny Weber's wine list among the top 50 in Germany.
All star chef Christian Baur and the team at Wilder Ritter need to do now is simply keep up the good work and continue treating Hotel Ritter Durbach to their unique brand of innovative
first-class cuisine. The deliciously creative challenge: to make sure you taste the
well-deserved Michelin star in all our dishes!
