Alsace wine route

Route des Vins d'Alsace

The Alsace wine route, or Route des Vins d'Alsace, is one of the most beautiful wine routes in Europe. Lined with idyllic wine villages, the gently winding 170 km road passes through the winemaking region of Alsace in the Départements Bas-Rhin and Haut-Rhin.

This picturesque route runs north-south through the wine region of Alsace and is home to 67 townships. These include Mittelbergheim, Eguisheim, Hunawihr and Riquewihr, which are considered 'Les plus beaux villages de France' (some of the most beautiful villages in France).

What could be more perfect than cruising the Alsace wine route in a classic car? Visit idyllic villages with charming Fachwerk houses, nearby castles or the Kientzheim Wine Museum. In fact, the Alsace wine route passes through 49 of the 51 wine-growing areas designated as Grand-Cru.
