All rooms are equipped with individually adjustable air conditioning.
In summer, the room temperature can be lowered to 18 degrees for your comfort.
You will find operating instructions on the wall next to the control panel.
Please ensure that your windows are closed whilst the air conditioning is in use.
In winter, the temperature is regulated by the heating in your room.

Your room will be available from 3.00 pm on the day of arrival.
To ensure a particularly relaxing start to your stay, you have the option of using the Ritter Spa on the day of arrival, even before checking into your room. You can book this option for EUR 20.0 per person.
This ensures your break at the Ritter begins in a relaxed and restful manner.

There’s a lot to pack, especially when travelling with babies and toddlers. We provide a few handy items to help make your family stay more relaxed:

Our Ritter Bar, with its cosy fireplace lounge, is located in the lobby. Whether you’re looking for an aperitif, a cocktail, a long drink or a non-alcoholic refreshment – we’ll find the perfect drink for you.

Bathrobes are available free of charge during your stay in the Ritter Spa bag in your room.
Please leave the bathrobe in your room on the day of departure.
If you take the bathrobe with you, we will charge you for it after your departure.

Please choose one of the following options for your room cleaning:

Our contribution to the environment
The fact is that the hotel and catering industry consumes a significant amount of resources. We strive to reduce and optimise our consumption.
To this end, we are implementing fundamental measures such as energy-saving lighting, water conservation, the use of EM bacteria for cleaning, and organised waste management. However, we already took an eco-friendly approach during the hotel’s renovation. Four combined heat and power units (saving approx. 112 tonnes of CO2) and a rooftop photovoltaic system (saving approx. 18 tonnes of CO2) generate electricity. The rooms are equipped with an energy-efficient air-conditioning system. Furthermore, wherever possible, we have used environmentally friendly building materials and had the furnishings for the rooms and restaurants made from locally sourced timber. In the kitchen, too, great importance is placed on being mindful of the food used, as virtually every product is used in its entirety to conserve resources and avoid waste.

There are many well-signposted hiking trails around the Durbach Valley, inviting you to explore the region. You can also purchase hiking maps at reception.

Our special hiking tip: Discover the Durbach Gourmet Trails. Stretching from 10 to 15 kilometres, they promise not only particularly attractive landscapes but also additional culinary delights.

The Durbach Ranch is located right in the village; both beginners and experienced riders can explore the Ortenau region on horseback here.
With the KONUS Card, you can even get a discount on a taster riding session.

The latest daily newspapers are available for you every morning in the magazine rack outside our Ritter Wiedergrün restaurant.

Four signposted Nordic walking routes, ranging from 3.4 to 8.1 km in length, lead through the beautiful countryside from Durbach.
Our reception staff will be happy to tell you where the routes start and what their respective difficulty levels are.
The Nordic walking routes are also ideal for jogging.

Our hotel has a pool in the basement, within Spa Area I. The handy guide included in your spa bag will help you find your way there quickly.

For a refreshing swim outdoors, Durbach offers a heated outdoor pool 700 metres from the hotel.
As a guest of our hotel, you receive free entry with the KONUS card.

Each of our rooms is equipped with a safe. In rooms #1 to #47, the safe is located in the wardrobe.
In rooms #48 to #87, you will find the safe in the cupboard next to the desk, in the second drawer from the top.

There is a shoe-shining machine available in the entrance hall. You will also find handy shoe-care items in your wardrobe.

The Non-Smokers’ Protection Act has been in force in Baden-Württemberg since 1 August 2007.
Nevertheless, we offer our smoking guests a cosy smoking area and a selection of cigars.
There is a smoking lounge in our lobby, and smoking is also permitted in the courtyard and on the small terrace opposite the spa reception.

If you smoke in a non-smoking room, we will charge an additional cleaning fee of EUR 100.0

In our rooms #48 to #87, there is a soundbar located beneath the TV.

Watching TV via the soundbar
Switch on the TV using the larger remote control and the soundbar using the smaller one. The soundbar display will show ‘TV ARC’. The sound will now be played through the soundbar.

Switch on the TV using the larger remote control and the soundbar using the smaller remote control. Press the Source button on the smaller remote control until your desired connection type appears.
